Query parent and child segment values in one column for OTBI reports

Need the ability to search for any parent or child value without specifying the "level" for any CoA segment in OTBI.

Use Case and Business Need

A customer needs to be able to create a report, without having to know their particular hierarchy in order to report on a balance on a parent account.

For example, for the General Ledger Balances - Real Time subject area in OTBI, under the Natural Account folder, there are different account levels (31, 30, 29, etc) in which parent and child values are housed. There's an "Account Code" column where a user can only search on child values. Both parent and child values need to be available in this column and it needs to be able to work correctly with any balance-based columns (Beginning Balance, Period Net Activity, Ending Balance). This is critical to allow customers to create simple OTBI reports to report on balances in the system for any parent or child value for any CoA segment
