The WMS Cloud need to be available as data source within Fusion Cloud to enable reporting on WMS data within the Fusion BI. The reason is that e.g. detailed customer information is not available in WMS Cloud (by using the "standard" integration). On the other hand LPN and other stock details are not available in Fusion Cloud. Hence a combined reporting on both data sets is currently not possible.

Use Case and Business Need

A pro-forma invoice is to be provided as part of the shipping documents. However it can not be created in WMS Cloud due to missing customer VAT information and sales order payment terms. This information is neither part of the "standard" ship request integration nor it is available in the ship request payload of Fusion cloud at all. On the other hand the invoice can not be printed in Fusion Cloud as the shipping details are submitted with the ship confirm integration which then closes the shipment in Fusion Cloud directly. At this point of time it is to late for printing the pro-forma invoice.

There are more scenarios which requires a combined reporting on WMS Cloud and Fusion Cloud data.

More details

Using web service based reports in Fusion BI isn't an appropriate solution as this would require to call multiple services in a row in WMS to get the required information.
