For data augmentation is it best to place the new data into existing folders or create new ones?
When augmenting data, do you typically place your new measures and attributes into existing folders with related data or into new folders? How do you distinguish between your augmented fields and the prebuilt oracle fields? My team thought of adding a hyphen at the end of each augmented column to differentiate them, but this may cause problems for the end user having to change column names every time.
I'd like to find out best practices on this subject, both from fellow customers perspectives and from the Oracle team's perspective.

Hi Caroline,
Data Augmentation(DA) primary use is to load custom data in FAW.
To expose above new DA as Subject Area the next step is Semantic Model Extension which is also available as part of DA process or as separate SME process - You can customize the model by extending ready-to-use dimensions with additional attributes from another data source, by adding a fact to an existing subject area, and by reorganizing the ready-to-use subject areas to create a new subject area to name a few depending on your use case
We suggest using following best practices:
Prefix a custom object with X_ZZZ_ where ZZZ is an abbreviation of your organization.
Suffix different objects as:
_A = Aggregate
_D = Dimension
_DH = Dimension Hierarchy
_F = Fact
_H = Helper
_M = Map Dimension
_MD = Mini Dimension
Thank you,
