I know of the existing Subject Area references which list the FAQs and roles that secure that subject area. Is there a more detailed reference that can give me instruction on how to work with these and create roles to allow access to specific data?
For instance, I'm currently stuck attempting to create a PO report using the Procurement - Procure to Pay subject area. I'm trying to pull the Ordered Amount from under the Purchase Order Measures.
Using the reference, I worked with the roles until I figured the Buyer role was the one I needed to view the data. But now I'm stuck. I'm trying to limit visibility to a user's own department (which are secured in the system as BUs), but I'm guessing I'm missing a Data Security Policy that would do that. I'm not sure how to set that up. Also, I need to nail down which specific privilege allows access to that field so I can create a custom role using only necessary privileges. I don't want every person who has to see this report to have the rights that the Buyer role gives (which are considerable).
