OAC Conditional Formatting for Data labels

Show / Hide data labels based on a condition (e.g. only display data labels for Top 5 suppliers by Purchase Order count)

Expected result: Be able to add data labels just for the enclosed top 5 points
It could be a hide/show toggle or full formatting (color,size/etc.) as long as it is possible to declutter the visual

Have you played around with the conditional notes and/or tooltip options of the rules ?
It's not quite the same thing as you asked for but it does help call-out certain data points ?
here is an example

Thanks Jaques, we did try this option and it was really helpful for other issues.
For this specific use case we need to show the data labels to avoid having to hover over each supplier.
