Dashboard prompts are not defaulting to specific values
Hi All,
I have dasboard prompts set to a default specific value..But when I open the dashboard it is not reflecting the changes..it is showing all column values. In my dashboard I have 6 dashboard pages and all of them have them same dashboard prompts set with different names. for the first dashboard page we want all the column values of the prompts. But for the rest of the dashboard pages we want the prompts to be defaulted to specific values.. Why is this not happening..
Any suggestions..
Thanks !!

Hi,
The problem you're facing is most likely related with the scope of the dashboard prompts (DP). When you place a DP in a dashboard you can select their scope to either dashboard (default option) or page. If the scope is set to dashboard the values selected in the DPs will be carried to other dashboard pages if the DPs have the same columns. If the scope is set to page, the values aren't carried to other pages.
Take a look here to better understand the behaviour of DPs: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/bi.1111/e10544/prompts.htm#BIEUG1168
Anyway, to address the issue you're having, you'll have to change the scope of the DPs.
Cheers
