Ability to collapse sections on DV canvas
There are many customers/users who have given us a feedback that sometimes they would like to hide certain portion of the canvas (say the tile view) if possible and focus more on other visualisations on a canvas. OAC-Classic gives us the feature of creating collapsible sections on a dashboard page. A similar feature on DV would be great so that we can create a section on the canvas that can be expanded or collapsed as needed. This also has another potential benefit that we can create object level security on the section so that an entire section can be hidden for certain roles.

I understand that the current roadmap mentions that we will have an ability to hide visualizations on a canvas. However, it would be more beneficial to have 'collapsible' sections on a canvas to hide and view sections of a canvas

This would be a very beneficial feature, and hopefully it would be available for all visualizations including dashboard filters. Often we present our users with the same common dashboard filter viz across multiple canvases "in case" they want to change selections but this does take up valuable real estate for those who don't need to make changes.

Excellent enhancement! Much needed!

It definitely would be helpful, especially when dealing with large amounts of data and the need to focus on a set of data.

Have you reviewed this feature? Workbooks dont have 'sections' concept (yet), i'd be curious to see if this feature satisfies your use case.

Hi Avinash,
Your demo shows how to "overlay" multiple visualisations over each other in the same space and then hide/show visualisations dynamically.
My ask is that we should be able to collapse / expand a certain section of a page (like classic view) so that we can control the real-estate of the page. To give you a few examples on why if is important to do that → a) Many a times the dashboard filters are so many (like all Essbase dimensions) that it's best to collapse them after choosing the values. b) collapse all the summary tiles and just focus on other charts which have more important details.
