REST APIs are very handy when it comes to middleware tools. They are lightweight and faster to implement. There are REST APIs for BI Publisher (refer: https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/bi12214/bip/BIPAP/op-v1-reports-reportpath-get.html).
Unfortunately these REST APIs are not available for ERP and HCM SaaS based customer (R13 v2). BI Publisher REST APIs will help customers to fetch report result and reduce the burden of other REST APIs e.g. Worker, Assignment etc. We are dealing with the use case of having DFF in the filter criteria to get the worker assignment.
SaaS applications do have SOAP APIs, but they are cumbersome to implement.
