Deleted Presentation column is appearing again when we did the consistency check in OAS Rpd

In one of the subject areas, I have a ''Hierarchies presentation table'' from that table I have deleted one column, and I did the consistency check to save the Rpd but unfortunately the same column name is appeared again in the presentation table. I am unable to delete that presentation object.

If we delete the presentation table hierarchy in that presentation table and then delete the column means it was deleting the object.

I could not delete the related logical column and hierarchy because it was used in another subject areas also.

whereas in OBIEE 12c rpd it is working fine without any issues when I delete the object, if I keep the presentation hierarchy also.

I am using OAS 2023 version. Can you please suggest how to delete that object in OAS.

The Model Administration tool in OAS 2023 works slightly different compared to OBIEE 12c. When you add a hierarchical column to the presentation layer, then it must also contains all columns used as display columns in hierarchal levels. Otherwise the tool will raise an error.

If you delete column4, and click on File > Check Global Consistency > Report Only, you will notice that the tool raises error 38128 - Presentation level "xxx" has no display columns.

If you delete column4, and click on Save, then the consistency check will use the Auto Fix option, and will add back the column to the presentation layer.

I don't believe that this behaviour can be changed in OAS 2023.

I don't understand what you are trying to achieve. Can you please share a screenshot of your RPD and highlight the object that you need to delete? Are you working in online or offline mode?

If I delete the column4 in the OAS rpd it was appeared again it is not deleting.

Hi @User_DCJG6 ,

If you are working in offline mode, then you also have to save your RPD and upload it to OAS.

Once uploaded, I also recommend to navigate to the Administration page in Classic, and click on the "Reload Files and Metadata" option. This ensures that all the latest changes applied to the RPD will be available to the users.

Issue not with the answers and reports. Issue with in the Rpd only.
