Hello everybody,

I have a problem with obiee, and it differs from time to time and user to user. Here is my examples; (these problems are not always happening, rarely exist)

1- I can not save an action, for ex: saving a dashboard or an analysis column formula: It does nothing just waiting and processing bar at right upper side is turning always.

2- I can not see the results of an analysis, when I edit an analysis, results tab does not work. Just waiting hours and hours and does nothing.

Obiee Version = 11.1.1.7.140114 (Build 140126.2205.JANRECUT 64-bit)

What can be possible causes for these problems:(

Can you help me pls.

Regards,

Dilek

    Which browser? Sounds more like a browser issue like when IE so often mangles its local files (not saying it's that though).

    No log entries to give a hint?

  • Hi Dilek,

    +1 Christian, it's often a browser issue where JS stop working fine (can also be related to temporary files containing the JS code having issues).

    If it's a browser issue you generally "fix" it by deleting the temporary files and cache. (not really a fix, more a workaround)

    Hi again,

    I think, this is not a browser issue, because I use firefox but tried on ie, chrome also. They all respond same. When I see html console, it says;

    OBIEE Sync load common/privlidges.xml

    May be something is missing?

    Have you deployed any custom style/skin and modified some of the files?

    Also: did just start to happen recently or is it since forever? I'm asking this since maybe it's also just time to upgrade your OBI.

    No, we didn't deploy any custom skin. Actually I am working about 6 months in my company, and this problem is rarely exist :S After restarting the PC, the problem is solved. No other alternative solution I found

  • You mean restarting the client PC (where you have issues with the browser) or restarting the OBIEE server ?

    Still sounds more like a browser / client issue to me.

    I mean restarting the client PC not obiee server @Gianni Ceresa

  • What are your OS and browser(s) where you have the issue?

    Because I already had the same and it's because of the browser and the temporary files / browser cache, so your issue actually seems to really point to the same direction ...

    OS = Windows 10

    Browser = Firefox, Chrome (same for all)

    What was your solution ? @Gianni Ceresa
