BI Publisher SFTP delivery connection support with Azure SFTP server
Hi, we are trying to configure in BI Publisher administration a delivery connection with a SFTP server and we are retrieving the following error:
"Could not establish connection. Connection to Microsoft Azure SFTP server is not supported at this time"
We have found this note in which it is said that is not supported but it not gives more information:
Could not establish connection. Connection to Microsoft Azure SFTP server is not supported at this time. (Doc ID 2983577.1)
We have the following questions:
- Does this occurs when trying to configure a connection with any Azure Storage SFTP?
- What is the reason in more detail for which it is not supported by BI Publisher?
- Is there any workaround in the Azure Storage SFTP server configuration that can eliminate the problem?
- Is this Microsoft Azure SFTP server BIP support planned to be acomplished in the future?
Thanks in advance.

The lack of this functionality is causing some issues with vendors, please help us on updating the system to support Azure SFTP servers.

As per Oracle document, Doc ID 2462380.1 Oracle BI supports the ciphers, aes128-ctr,aes192-ctr, aes256-ctr and we also understand MS Azure( also supports these ciphers but we are still unable to get an answer/explantion as to why the SFTP connection is not being established successfully from Oracle BI.
