Need to customize Seeded Data Model

Hey,

Currently there is a requirement to customize the seeded 'Asset Cost and Reserve Report'. We can achieve this customization by simple addition of 2 fields to the seeded DataModel but since the DataModel uses packages, triggers and flexfields I am unable to replicate the DM and add the needed fields to it. Instead I need to create a new DataModel logic for the entire Report. My idea is to be able to use a complex seeded DataModel and customize it then and not make changes to the seeded DataModel #freeTheDM

You can utilize the semantic model extension feature in the Console to customize the data model to extend it for your business requirements. You can extend the semantic model to make the data that you moved into the warehouse more useful for reporting.
