Hi,

Need some information about the Data Encryption.

Yes, there are multiple options available in Fusion Analytics for Data Encryption like PGP, SSH…

what I like to know is there a data Encryption is in place by default/out of the box for BIP reports and extracts from Fusion to protect the contents of the files while transmitting over the internet?

for example,
BIP Report bursting to 3rd party sFTP server.

Thanks,

    Hello @Ali Mostafa_connect,

As of now, there is no mechanism to get the encrypted output to Emails or directly downloading from BI Report Job History as the PGP key needs to be setup for the delivery channel in BI Administration page.

    Thanks,

    Praveen

  • Hello @Ali Mostafa_connect ,

From Fusion BI, There is no default/out of the box encryption.

You would need to setup the PGP encryption for SFTP in Fusion BI.

Please refer the doc: Fusion Applications BI Publisher : How to Configure Public/Private key encryption for delivery from BI Publisher to FTP Servers - PGP Key Upload + FAQ (Doc ID 1987283.1)

    Thanks,

    Hi @Praveen Kumar Akkala-Oracle ,

Yes, there are options available and thank you for sharing the Doc ID 1987283.1

Please confirm if there is any data encryption in place to secure the content of the file when a user extracts the output to their computer for further processing or schedules a report via email.

    Thanks,
