Look up table error

Question

Hi,

following manuals on the web, i created a lookup table for data translantion purpose. I created a new logical column with formula LOOKUP(DENSE....) and no errors was generated.

But when i try to create an analysis with the new logical column and my fact table i receive error "nqserror 14025: No fact table exists at the requested level of detail"

But lookup table haven't need to be joined physically and logically with other dimension. It's right. So how i can resolve the problem? Is it necessary to create a hierarchy on lookup table?

Does your lookup table have keys defined and are you looking up based on all the keys?
