Ability to delete a subject area without using the Semantic Model Extension
Hi,
I have created fact and dimension extracts using data augmentation for AP Invoice Distributions, and named a new Subject Area called "AP Invoice Distributions Ext". Since the subject area did not exist, it got created once the augmentation was activated.
However, I am not able to delete the subject area once created - it has to be done through Semantic Model Extensions. Is that the expected behavior as per design? Since creation is free based on user input during the augmentation process, it can lead to user mistakes which would be corrected only by creating a branch or customizing the semantic model.
I wanted to confirm the expected behavior and any other possible options to work through this scenario.
Thanks, David

Thanks @Sumanth V -Oracle. Since subject area was created by mistake, we did not want to customize the semantic model for that purpose only, so the reason for my question. I just wanted to confirm this is the only way once the subject area is created.
Thanks!

@David Saggioro - Yes, once the subject area is created through augmentation, it needs to be managed (deleted/modified) through the Semantic Model extensions as per design. However, you also have the option to skip the creation of the Subject Area during the augmentation process and instead create it using Semantic Model extensions as a branch

How do you delete a subject area that is published? On the semantic model there are options to add or modify but nothing for delete. We have an empty semantic model (partially due to some issues with a customization branch getting in a mess) but are unable to remove the subject area.
We can't promote production back to dev as the version is behind dev so it looks like its not straight forwards.
