The 100% Area chart is not a new visualisation in OAC, but it is not seen very often and yet for looking at the relative contribution of a metric (in this case invoice amounts) for a dimension (suppliers) over a time period (years) they can be quite effective as you can quickly see where there may be "jumps" or only relatively small contributions over that period. I have created a video https://datavizmark.com/oracle-analytics-clips/#100pctarea to show this being developed in OAC so you can see how easy it is to do this. We start by creating a simple bar chart visualisation then add a top 20 filter. Including the invoice date we can use that to segregate data by colour and we enhance that to show the data on a year by year basis. Then we switch up the visualisation to a 100% Area chart so that the year on year relevant contribution is evident. We can then set the line type to a smoother style and add in the data viz points to allow us to easily hover over them to see the actual values that we are interested in. Further, we can take that year field and use the right-click functionality to add it as a filter.
