Security in FDI on reports based on a mixed data source Dataset

Hi,

I'm trying to limit the access to some reports content to my line managers (not successful yet…) And I was wondering :

We created reports with HCM data, external sources data and columns created in SME.

Is the security going to work the same way on reports based a Dataset using different sources ?

Typically today, I tried to limit the data for LM, I must have done sth wrong because for a report 100% HCM the user is able to see everything. But for reports based on a mixed HCM/external data Dataset, there is a query error….

It is hard to say how the security works, unless we see how you are creating reports, the Logical SQL of report etc.
The security will not work with external sources.
What is the query error you are seeing on a mixed dataset.
