I do not see a setting in the scheduler to mark a report job via email delivery as 'Important' but some of my scheduled reports are showing high importance in outlook while others do not. Is there a way to change this? I'm not sure how some are marked important while others are not?

    Hi @Mario Lieras

I don't think we have any option to mark at configuration level (bip end) . its should be at your SMTP layer or any policies.

In Oracle BI Publisher (BIP), the priority of an email sent from scheduled jobs is not explicitly set via the BIP scheduler itself. However, some factors could result in certain reports being marked as "Important" in Outlook or other email clients:

    1. Email Client Rules: Outlook or other email clients may have rules that automatically mark certain emails as "Important" based on keywords, senders, or specific actions within the email (e.g., if the subject or content contains terms like "urgent" or "important").
    2. SMTP Server Settings: In some cases, the SMTP server that handles email delivery for BIP might be configured to prioritize certain emails based on the subject, sender, or content of the email.
    3. Report Content: If a report contains specific phrases or metadata that triggers priority classification, Outlook may flag these as important. For example, if certain content consistently triggers priority flags, it might be related to how the content is structured or flagged within the report itself.
    4. User-Specific Settings: Individual recipients might have customized email rules in their own Outlook settings that automatically flag certain report emails as "Important."
