Feature parity in mobile experience

When you access OAS/OAC from a mobile device — not the mobile app, but the web version on mobile, which is a pretty common need — watchlist items are not visible. I understand the newer capabilities to optimize workbooks on different form factors, but this is the OAS/OAC home page that does not display the watchlist. In my case, those watchlist items are perhaps the most critical thing to be able to see from my phone, to get a quick glance on the run about some of the key performance indicators for my organization.

I also find it somewhat odd that only "What's New" appears, as the next most important thing for me to see would be my Favorites.

In short, it would be great if the home experience on mobile was more similar to the experience on a PC.

  • We do have a project looking at this and other mobile Web improvements. I don't have a timeline i can share yet, but this is being worked on.

Our goal is not to have feature parity in mobile web ( i.e. Dataflows/ Data prep etc.. ) but we certainly aim to have the consumer/view time focused capabilities availed to the masses on mobile.

    Cheers

Thanks, Jacques. Perhaps "feature parity" was too broad in my submission, as I totally agree that it wouldn't make sense to try to build a data flow on the phone, so I appreciate your more refined scope.
