Can't add fields in existing DV after Replace Dataset in Workbook

Hi Groups,

after we replace the data set in workbook,

we can't change the fields (replace or add new) in existing DVs as the below picture-1,

please help!

*The new Dataset is from the old one and we added some unit of measure fields in Data Flow:

Hi @Kirk Li,

Could you please use reload data on the dataset created by dataflow and open old workbook ,replace existing dataset and check the issue.

Also once try it out in-cognito tab and check the issue of adding new fields .

As a workaround ,create a new workbook and copy the viz from old workbook to new workbook for easy way to create a new workbook .If this does not work ,please create a new workbook as you did already and which works fine .

This looks to be metadata caching issue.

@Kirk Li Please open the dataset created by dataflow and click on join diagram.Is it having one dataset or multiple datasets .The error indicates there is missing join relationship between datasets.Please verify the joins.

From the data flow ,you had created caculated column based on two base columns such as quantity and strip_unit .Are these two columns coming from its own same dataset?

Please re-run the dataflow and on the final dataset ,please create a new workbook and see if you could add qty_strip calculated column and check if data is rendering.

1.For the data set we only have one table

2.From the data flow ,you had created caculated column based on two base columns such as quantity and strip_unit .Are these two columns coming from its own same dataset?

Quantity and Strip_Unit are coming from the same Data Set but in different table.

And the situation is I can add these fields to new DV but can't add these fields to existing DV.
