Managed server(bi_sever1) is down

Question

Hi Experts,

My obiee 11g installed in my local system as an Enterprise installation

Error:    FAILED_CONTACTING_MANAGED_SERVERS, Detail Message: Specified BI Managed Servers are shut down: bi_server1.

But i am unable to see the managed server(bi_server1) in console component,is there any other path to find( bi_server1)   to restart.

Make sure your node manager is running on that server, otherwise, your admin server will not be able to contact it to start it. Alternatively, you can start that instance locally if you have command line access to that server and run the startManagedWebLogic.{sh|cmd} script with bi_server1 as the first argument.
