When you have a canvas in one workbook but want to copy it to another workbook, it's very easy. However, when you paste the canvas in the new workbook, you lose all the color formatting and conditional formatting. Can you please include the conditional formatting in the copy?

    Great idea, upvoted.

  • When pasting a canvas in a different workbook, we will copy over any customizations of the viz (including color) to the target workbook.

Conditional formatting rules are Workbook scope and thats the reason the rules are not created with the paste action.

Shared conditional formatting rules (tied to the dataset/SA) is a feature in the backlog which i believe will solve your requirement. Shared rules will be saved to the datasource and is available on the workbook that uses this data source.

I have created a backlog jira for this enhancement ask. We will assess the relative priority for a future release.

@Branden Pavol Are you expecting the CF rules to be created in the target workbook with the paste action?
