@VijayDC - Yes, it is possible. Create a custom application role withe same permissions as BIContentAuthor and to that custom application role provide "Manage Snapshots" permissions as shown in screen shot below:
Assign it to user or group who needs this access.

Hope this helps!

@VijayDC - It is possible in OAC as well. Please review the below tutorial for the detailed steps on how to create custom application roles and mange the same by assigning desired users and groups.

Updating policies is what I'm looking for.. I need to provide RPD deploy access to Developer (BI Content Author).
Please let me know if this is possible. TIA

Hi @VijayDC ,
In OAC it's not possible to grant/revoke permissions to/from default application roles.

In OAC, mostly if you have more than one person modifying the RPD, you should consider transitioning to the Semantic Modeler that provides a native versioning mechanism and could make the work of your developers easier.

Hi @Sumanth V -Oracle
with "Manage Snapshots" privilege looks like developer can only upload the RPD, but to download only RPD I don't see any option (snapshot export is creating a bar file).
We like to provide RPD download and upload RPD access to one specific developer without BI Service admin Role access) .TIA for reply.

@VijayDC -
In Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), there is no direct option to download an RPD. However, you can use the 'Open in Cloud' option available in the Oracle BI Administration Tool to connect to OAC, open the RPD, and save a local copy

There still is the same functionality in OAC which was there previously: The datamodel.cmd downloadrpd command.
Here's the MOS Doc Note on it:

Edit: support links don't seem to want to render anymore when posting. Copy+paste the URL…

The new My Oracle Cloud Support portal has new naming conventions and new URL patterns.
Generally, you can find the migrated document by searching the legacy MOS document id.
2691811.1 is now KB616631 -
Thank you for the reply…I got all the required information on this.
