Workbook Hierarchical Tab Navigation and Customizable Hamburger Menu as an option

We are requesting that we enhance the navigation experience in Oracle Analytics Cloud workbooks by introducing a hierarchical canvas navigation option that allows authors to organize content in a tree-like structure. Additionally, provide the option to transform this navigation into a hamburger menu, located at the top left of the page, and enable the inclusion of custom links. It would be important to allow navigation to span more than one workbook and if at all possible avoid long load times when navigating to a different workbook.
In an ideal state navigation could be shared and reused as a central tree for a compilation of workbooks as a product and drill through workbooks. This we realize is not an easy ask but would like to put it out there to see if others have the same struggles as we do.
Benefits:
- Improved User Experience: Aligns with common app navigation patterns, making it easier for users to find and access content.
- Enhanced Organization: Allows developers to create a logical hierarchy of tabs, reducing clutter and making it simpler to manage complex workbooks.
- Increased Flexibility: Enables the creation of custom links to external resources, other workbooks, or specific sections within a workbook, facilitating a more seamless user experience.
- Streamlined Navigation: Reduces the need for cumbersome table of contents or numbered organization systems (e.g., 1a, 1b, 2a, 2c).
- Multi-Workbook Integration: Facilitates the integration of multiple workbooks, creating a more cohesive and user-friendly experience.
We believe that this kind of feature would tie analytics together and truly help viewers navigate what many times is a complex maze of reports they end up book marking in their own folder structures locally.
