Hi Team,
We need to hide certain seeded/out-of-the-box reports provided by FDI, as we haven't implemented the corresponding modules in our Cloud HCM instance.
Please let us know how to do that.
Thanks, Anurag
Hello @Anurag Bairagi
There are Content Duty Roles for each subject area. You can revoke access to those Content Duty role from the Groups users are attached to - to revoke access to any of the OOTB DV of the subject area.

Hi Anurag, please refer to this discussion thread which I referred few months back for our project requirement:
https://community.oracle.com/products/oracleanalytics/discussion/22352/fdi-how-to-hide-restrict-access-to-oracle-folder-under-catalog-shared-folder
I am confused by the answers to this idea. The idea is not to control access to subject areas, but to control permissions to the Oracle folder and sub-folders but the referenced discussion, (https://community.oracle.com/products/oracleanalytics/discussion/22352/fdi-how-to-hide-restrict-access-to-oracle-folder-under-catalog-shared-folder) makes it clear that the permissions for the Oracle folder are locked by design.
Has that changed? I just tried and still get an error:
Anurag, FDI has IDCS Group(Job Roles), Duty and Data Role, and Users.
Users are assigned to IDCS Groups (Job Roles).
Job Roles are linked to Duty and Data Roles.
There are Duty roles that control the Out of the box Folder Access.
Customers can remove the linkage between Jobs Roles and Duty Role, which governs the folders' access.
For Example:-
So you can go to an out-of-the-box Job Role Like Accounts Payable Manager and delete the link to the Duty role, which gives you access to the AP-related folders. This way, you can restrict/hide access to the out-of-the-box Folders.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
No this behavior is not changed in FDI. OOTB content or its permissions can not be amended even now.
@Ramprapanna Bhattacharya-Oracle - you cannot update it from this UI. You need to remove it from Job Groups in FDI that the user is part of.
Righ cllick on the Seeded folder. You will see content duty roles which secure access to the folders in addition to the subject area. You need to remove these content duty roles from Job Group which the user is part of.
So this will make sure that the user has access to the subject area but none of the OOTB DV/Content delivered for it.
Thank you ! Appreciated !
I have a use case for FDI connectors whereby I need to use the EPM Integrator to include planning data in my environment but I have 2 separate EPM environments, one for ERP and one for HCM. Once you create a connection using a connection type, the option to create a new one disappears. This creates an issue where customers…
In the out of the box workbooks, many have default filters for items such as Ledger and Business Unit. Most of these default to the first value alphabetically. This can be incredibly frustrating for users who, when logging in for the first time often get no results or results they are not expecting when they first log in.…
With continuous capabilities being brought into the modern Data Visualisation (DV) experience in OAC and FDI, a native equivalent to the View Selector from Classic Analysis / OBIEE is needed. In Classic reporting, the View Selector allowed users to dynamically swap between different chart types, tables, or analytical views…
OAC saved states are lost when the workbook is moved / migrated to another environment. This feature is intended mostly for personal user preferences but it is also useful for providing preset selecitons for users. If we want to make these presets available for all users , the only way is opening the workbook in the new…
