Oracle Analytics Governance custom extension is available for download
We are pleased to announce the Governance custom Workbook Extension in Oracle Analytics! This custom extension enables users to retrieve and analyze accessible artifacts and objects—such as workbooks, data flows, datasets, and their relationships—based on selected criteria and user permissions within the Oracle Analytics catalog.
Why use the Governance Plugin?
- Generate comprehensive reports on key objects, including Workbooks, Datasets, and Data Flows in your catalog.
- Apply filters based on criteria such as Owner, Dataset Name, and more.
- Gain valuable insights by consolidating the various outputs generated by the custom extension. Eg:- Easily trace all data flows and workbooks linked to a specific connection.
Here's a sample workbook created using the output generated by this extension.
Download this custom workbook extension from Oracle Analytics Library and deploy it on your own Oracle Analytics instance.

Hello,
We are getting this error when downloading the plug in : 400 Bad Request.
We used to work with the version 1.0.0.1615986145452 but was a version with multiple bugs and didn't fully work; hopefully this version fixed those bugs.
Thanks !
Adrian

Hello,
We've installed the plug-in in 2 instances (DEV and TEST) , stopped and started all services but sadly the icon doesn't appear at all when creating workbooks. We have OAS 2024, we will install OAS 2025 in the coming weeks but for OAS 2024 doesn't work; not sure if this plug in was tested with all versions.
The previous plug in had multiple bugs also and we never were able to use it.
Thanks
Adrian

@AdrianV It works on OAS 2025. Please check it once you have the instance available and let us know if you run into issues.
Thanks.

Thank you @Lalitha Venkataraman-Oracle and @Aravindan Thoppe Santharam-Oracle. Was able to download and install the plug-in and am now trying to re-create the use cases on the blog.
Would it be too much to ask to understand to value "Missing Information" for SYS_DATASOURCES columns DataModelProvider, Enabled For, Auto Insights and Knowledge Reference? What does this mean? Asking so I can answer when asked.
For the "Workbook data source mapping", I'm not getting the same look and feel. Is it simply my data or just a preference or property I need to change? Right now it's crazy and would probably scare anyone away from using it, LOL.
Thank you.
