why some of the BI Publisher reports do not exist in the catalog folder?

Hello, we use both BI Publisher and BI Analytics (Bi version: 11.1.1.9). when we cloned both RPD and catalog  from PROD to Dev env, we found some of the

BI Publisher reports shared folders from the application URL(http://hostname:9704/xmlpserver) do not exist in the catalog (OS level) folder while all of the BI Analytics reports shared folders  from the application URL (http://hostname:9704/analytics) are in the catalog (OS level).

Does any one know why some of the BI Publisher reports not in the catalog and where we can find the missing folder locate on the OS level? appreciate your help! Thanks

Thanks! We just zipped the catalog in prod, and unzip in DEV on the OS level (shutdown Dev first), and then brought up the application, then took a copy of RPD from PROD, made connections change and deployed the rpd from em console of Dev, and then bounced the application, this is 11g OBIEE, we have done the same steps for other clients/system many times for many years without any issues, this is the first time we face the issues.

The odd here is even in prod, we can not find some shared folders (but the reports/folders showed up on the application level URL) from the OS level catalog folder. where they these missing files/sub-folders locate if they are not under the catalog?  and how to find them? How was the clone made? What kind of approach did you use to copy the catalog content from prod to dev?
