Currently, FDI only supports an SMTP server as the default and sole configuration option for an email agent. However, many companies have transitioned to API-based email services, such as Twilio, which are subscription-based and easier to manage and maintain. Therefore, Oracle should enhance its configuration to allow customers to choose and use different email servers based on their specific needs and preferences.
Moreover, it would be much better as a SaaS offering if Oracle provided an internal SMTP server similar to Fusion. This would save customers the time and effort required for technical setups, enabling them to have self-service analytics more easily.
