Please enable the Oracle Guided Learning (OGL) plug within Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) to populate across ALL OAC pages (home page/ catalog) and workbooks (DV-Modern View & Classic view).

Current OGL plug-in only works within the DV workbook that it has been enabled.

-Does not work in Classic View

-Does not work in DV if current browser session is closed after opening workbook where OGL was enabled.

Having the OGL widget populate across all of OAC:

Will enable both our citizen report developers and new employees to better utilize OAC for report building.

Will enable report consumers in our organization to run financial statements and other ERP/SCM/HCM reports with process guides through OGL widget.

  • Hello @User_M8F76 , welcome to the Oracle Analytics Community and thanks for your interest with this OAC-OGL extension.

One information to share first : a new version of the OGL extension will be available in the library within two weeks, with two different (upgraded) OGL extensions. One of which will work at the workbook level (similar to the one today), the other one will work at the whole DV level. That is, it will remain active even when user steps out of the workbook. However, as the user logs out of OAC (his OAC session ends), the plugin will not automatically re-activate. There is a simple gesture (a click) needed to activate the plugin by the OAC user. This new version should largely help with your question on OGL 'Across all OAC'

Regarding the question on classic, unfortunately the OAC extension will not cover the classic context , we have no plans for this from the extension side yet.
