Enhancement Request: Support for Generating A3 PDF with XML Attachment in OAP

Hi Team,

We would like to request an enhancement in OAP to support the generation of A3 PDFs with XML attachments.

Business Use Case:
We have a customer requirement where all invoice documents must be generated in A3 PDF format, with the associated XML attached. Currently, OAP only supports the generation of A2 PDFs with XML attachments. Right now for A3 PDFs, we are generating the A2 PDF via OAP and then use a third-party application to convert it to A3 and attach the XML. This process increases complexity, introduces additional technical issues, and slows down our solution due to extra API calls and the involvement of external vendors.

We had already raised SR 1 year back for the same and as a result we got PDF/A-3A option for pdf output but without xml attachment feature.

This limitation has resulted in customers considering alternative solutions for their projects, as OAP does not currently provide this functionality. Without support for generating A3 PDFs with XML attachments directly within OAP, there is a risk of losing business opportunities and affecting long-term customer satisfaction.

Request:
We kindly request the addition of functionality within OAP to enable direct generation of A3 PDF files with XML attachments. This feature would simplify our processes, reduce reliance on third-party tools, and better meet customer requirements. As we are already in development phase for invoices and if we don't provide A3 pdf's with xml attachments then this will lead to customer dissatisfaction and revenue loss.

Customer is expecting to complete development activities in 2 months and hence we need this functionality working in order to showcase it to customer.

Hi Team,

This feature is a very necessary one for BI Publisher customer's who're willing to have xml attachments in their A3 pdf output. Also, we've observed that customer's in telecom industry are very much willing to have this functionality, but due to non-availability of this feature currently in our product, the development activities are getting post ponded and we fear that if we can't have this feature soon by next few months, then it may lead to revenue loss.

So kindly consider this as an URGENT request.

Due to non-availability of this feature, we have had to implement a workaround solution to call external vendor system to convert A2 to A3 PDF. Calling external system is delaying overall E2E performance.

Customer is finding non-availability of standard features in the product, which regulatory in the country mandates. Having A3 PDF with XML embedment is regulatory requirement in Middle eastern countries.

Please help to include this enhancement urgently in the product.
