Duplicate Application Role OAC

HI All,

in OAC RPD —> Manage —> Identity → if we left click on Application Role there is a option "Duplicate" —- but it is greyed out /disabled
is there a sway to duplicate the existing application role so I can add / remove data filters for the 2nd Application Role.

I tried both Cloud online and offline, TIA

Duplicate operation is not supported for Application Roles in Identity tab. I think this has been the case for a long time - check this post from 9 years ago: https://community.oracle.com/products/oracleanalytics/discussion/2812/how-to-duplicate-application-role

Hi,

In OAC I don't expect the "default" way of doing things with app roles to work. Just because in OAC you don't really have the same access than in an on-premises OAS.

Look at https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/acabi/add-your-own-application-roles.html about how app roles are managed in OAC, how you can add your own app roles.

This option only to copy permissions from OOTB role to custom app role.

I have a custom role and want to make a copy of it and rename, in RPD I want data filters to copy from one role to other and remove some data filters out of it.
I see duplicate in greyed out, just checking of someone knows how to enable this feature
