Adding Supporting References to Configurable Account Analysis (CAA)
I’m working with Oracle FDI's Configurable Account Analysis (CAA). Currently, I see that supporting references are not directly available in CAA, they can only be viewed through the relevant subject areas.
My question is:
- Is there a way to integrate supporting references into CAA reports?
- Could this be achieved through data augmentation, custom reference tables, or another configuration method?
- Has anyone successfully extended CAA to include supporting references, and if so, what approach worked best?

Thanks for pointing out, slippy fingers.

Hello,
Yes - You technically can but it is not straight forward and it depends on what subledgers you are using and if you are using FAH. If I remember correctly the underlying CAA Fact did not contain the keys to join to the supporting reference tables but it is worth checking again.
I was able to create a pseudo CAA using a combination of Data Augmentations and Semantic Model Extensions. I recreated a fact table using the XLA_Distributions_Links vo and used the pre-existing dimension tables (DW_GL_JOURNAL_CF_SEC) to build in my additional Journal attributes. This method did leave out some Journal Entries but I could afford to do that given my use case.
Every situation is different but here is where I would start.
I would start with bringing in the new VO: FscmTopModelAM.FinXlaJrnlEnterJrnlAM.SubledgerJournalDistributionPVO and see if you can join it to the CAA using the extend dim or semantic model extension functionality.
You may also need to reference: FscmTopModelAM.FinGlProgramJrnlImportAM.JournalImportReferencePVO to tie back xla lines to journals.
