Support for SSO Login User Credentials - For BI Publisher/OTBI
Hello Team,
While attempting to establish connectivity with BI Publisher using the BIP connection, or while connecting to OTBI Fusion Analytics using the default Fusion Application adapter in OAC, the connection fails when using Fusion SSO user credentials. The adapters currently support only native Fusion user credentials and do not support SSO-based logins.
It is essential that these adapters also support SSO user credentials, as in most cases Fusion applications are accessed through Microsoft LDAP SSO or Cisco SSO authentication mechanisms, and native Fusion users are typically not used. Due to this limitation, it becomes challenging to perform data augmentation using the BI Publisher or OTBI subject area methods, forcing us to look for alternative approaches, which further increases complexity.
We request the Oracle product team to consider supporting SSO-based authentication for these adapters in an upcoming release.
Brgds,
Hari
