Ability to configure ACL with Virtual cloud network (OCID) for ADW in FDI via FDI Console
Business Requirements:
We have 4 FDI instances and required to integrate ADW (within FDI) with Oracle Integration for Oracle SaaS (OIC).
Per KB40776 from Oracle Integration (OIC), adding the VCN OCID to the ACL on ADW is the only available option.
- Adding the OIC public IP address to the ACL does not work per KB40776
- Oracle Integration for Oracle SaaS VCN is Oracle-managed.
The VCN for Oracle Integration for Oracle SaaS is Oracle-managed and therefore not visible in the Virtual Cloud Network dropdown list. Hence, Virtual cloud network will not work.
KB40776
After enabling Access Control Lists on the database side, the OIC Oracle ATP / Oracle ADW Adapter is unable to connect, even after adding the OIC public IP address to the ACL.
Hence, the provided function of Configure the Access Control List in FDI will not work.
ADW has the function to config ACLs with [Virtual cloud network (OCID)].
It is a useful and necessary function not only for this case, but also for cases where users do not have sufficient privileges to view VCNs in their tenancy.
hence, request review and implement this feature.
