Organization Name:
CNAF – Caisse Nationale d’Allocations Familiales
Description:
There are currently analytics related to user activity, transaction activity, sessions, and report usage. However, there is no delivered reporting capability that allows IT Management to understand how users navigate through Fusion Applications and which entry points are used to access or initiate transactions.
CNAF requests a delivered analytics solution capable of capturing application entry-point usage and navigation behavior across Fusion Applications.
The solution should provide visibility into:
• Homepage tile usage (standard and custom/sandbox-created tiles)
• Springboard and Navigator navigation usage
• Deep-link access and other application launch mechanisms
• Redwood UI versus Classic UI entry points
• Transaction origination source (where a transaction was initiated)
• User navigation paths leading to transaction creation.
Use Case and Business Need:
CNAF is currently executing a migration from Classic UI to Redwood UI. During the transition period, both interfaces will coexist. Business and IT stakeholders need objective adoption metrics to understand:
• How frequently Redwood entry points are used compared to Classic entry points
• Which navigation paths users prefer
• Whether Redwood deployment objectives are being achieved
• Which custom homepage tiles are actively used, and which can be retired
More broadly, this requirement applies to all Fusion customers seeking to improve user adoption, optimize navigation design, and measure the effectiveness of UI investments.
Requested Capabilities
- UI Adoption Analytics
• Compare Redwood UI usage versus Classic UI usage
• Measure adoption trends over time
• Identify preferred entry points and navigation patterns
• Report usage by user, role, business unit, and application
2) Tile Usage Analytics
• Track usage of delivered homepage tiles
• Track usage of custom sandbox-created tiles
• Measure clicks volume and unique-user adoption per tile
• Identify unused or low-value navigation elements
3)Transaction Origination Tracking
For any supported business object (for example Purchase Requisitions, My Receipts, …), identify:
• The entry point used to initiate the transaction
• Whether the transaction originated from Redwood UI or Classic UI
• Whether the transaction originated from a standard tile, custom tile, Navigator, Springboard, or deep link.
Example:
Purchase Requisition #12345
Originating Entry Point: "Purchase Requisitions (Redwood)" Homepage Tile
Originating UI: Redwood
4) Navigation Analytics
• Capture user navigation paths across Fusion Applications• Identify common navigation journeys• Understand how users reach key business processes• Support UX optimization and governance initiatives
Expected Benefits
• Accelerate Redwood adoption programs
• Improve user experience and navigation design
• Enable data-driven homepage and Springboard optimization
• Reduce unused customizations and technical debt
• Provide measurable ROI for Redwood transformation initiatives
• Support governance and continuous improvement programs across Fusion Applications
Current Gap
Today, Oracle Fusion Cloud does not provide a delivered OTBI Subject Area, BI Publisher data source, or User Adoption Analytics capability that reports:
• Tile-level usage
•Entry-point usage
• Navigation-path analytics
• Transaction origination source
• Redwood versus Classic entry-point attribution
This enhancement would significantly improve CNAF’s ability to measure application adoption and optimize the user experience.
