I am at KScope26 and was advised by the host at the Oracle AI/Analytics booth to ask this here.
We are very interested in the Fusion Read Only Data Store functionality for Fusion ERP data, but want to have a greater understanding of it.
Data Extraction Using Read-Only Replicated Data
I am having a hard time understanding what this feature practically gives us… I was hoping that it would give a near-real time cloned instance of the Fusion schemas into an ADW instance that we could then query with any RDBMS tool for report building, but the documentation says explicitly that it "simplifies data access through a business object data model, rather than exposing underlying database tables and views."
Can anyone provide additional flavor on this functionality and what it realistically will do for customers?
