The current licensing model for consumers doesn't make financial sense to roll out FDI across bigger audiences that have less interactive reporting requirements. Considering that a consumer license costs the same as an authoring license, what is the value of making users consumers only. In a large organization, we need a consumer "lite" version license option, that end users use just to consume "dumb" reports built by other authors. We don't require these lite users to have any fancy report building abilities. They literally will log in to consume a report or two for their needs. The idea here is for the product team to think about some changes to the licensing models currently under offer for FDI, and consider an inexpensive, cheaper option for low maintenance, read-only end users.
