Summary
Upgrade notifications for the Autonomous Database associated with FDI currently depend on the email configured for the FDI instance. ADW customer contacts and OCI Notifications are managed separately. This can result in administrators missing planned upgrade notifications when the configured email is outdated.
Request
Provide consolidated notification support for FDI-managed ADW upgrades that:
- Publishes OCI events when an upgrade is scheduled, started, completed, or failed.
- Displays the upgrade schedule and status in the FDI Console.
- Identifies whether Oracle/FDI or a customer scheduled the upgrade.
- Supports multiple notification recipients or an OCI Notifications topic.
This is a valid enhancement request rather than a product defect, as the notification was sent according to the currently configured FDI email address.
