Hello Team,
In SME, we would like to have the feature which enables the user to reorder the columns under subject area. Currently this feature is not available for column reordering.
Currently In SME, the system does not allow to organize the columns in a meaningful order. It automatically orders alphabetically. We require a functionality where we can re-order the columns. This is an functionality that is available in OAC via RPD.
@User_A63N1 upvoted, I assume you are referring to setting the sort order of a logical column based on another column functionality. Yes it would be helpful in certain scenario where we do want to override default behaviour of A-Z or 0-9.
In Platform 25.R2 (May 2025), we introduced the Sort Order Column capability. It lets you select a specific column to control how a logical column is sorted when adding or extending dimensions through the Sandbox framework.
We don’t plan to support reordering columns within a prebuilt dimension or fact folder. To control the column order, create a new subject area based on an existing subject area.

I have a use case for FDI connectors whereby I need to use the EPM Integrator to include planning data in my environment but I have 2 separate EPM environments, one for ERP and one for HCM. Once you create a connection using a connection type, the option to create a new one disappears. This creates an issue where customers…
In the out of the box workbooks, many have default filters for items such as Ledger and Business Unit. Most of these default to the first value alphabetically. This can be incredibly frustrating for users who, when logging in for the first time often get no results or results they are not expecting when they first log in.…
