The right-click options available to consumers to "personalize" their DV workbooks (like add/remove columns, sorting, column order, subtotals, etc.) are extremely useful and popular features. The ability to save the "state" of a DV workbook (filter values, selected canvas, etc.) and send this state as a URL to a different consumer is also very useful and powerful. Combining these 2 features so that consumer A could customize a DV workbook canvas and then send a URL to consumer B including all those personalizations would further enhance the consumer experience.
Business Case:
A project manager manages 10 different account managers, each of whom are responsible for different aspects of the project. Currently the project manager sends out prefiltered URLs to the account managers, already filtered to each persons' relevant account. Due to the different natures of the accounts, some of the visualizations in the DV workbook are more useful with a few different related columns exposed and ordered/sorted/subtotaled differently. When the account managers receive their prefiltered URL they have to make all those personalizations to their visualizations to optimize their analysis and, since it can't be saved in that state, they have to re-do those changes every time they open the prefiltered workbook.
Enabling the consumer personalizations to be saved and shared as states would save a significant amount of rework each time an account manager opens up their workbook.
