We're running into a challenge in OAS 2026 with Data Visualization (DV) workbooks embedded in Classic Answers dashboards.
Our requirement is to:
- Allow the embedded DV workbook to respond to Answers dashboard prompts.
- Prevent users from accessing the "Drill to Attribute/Hierarchy..." option from the right-click context menu.
During our testing, we found that:
- When the workbook is saved/opened in Visualize Mode, the embedded DV workbook responds correctly to Answers dashboard prompts.
- When the workbook is saved/opened in Present Mode, we can disable "Drill to Attribute/Hierarchy", but the embedded workbook no longer responds correctly to Answers dashboard prompts.
- The new OAS 2026 system setting View Interactions: Drill does not appear to affect DV workbooks and the "Drill to Attribute/Hierarchy..." option continues to be displayed when the workbook is embedded in Visualize Mode.
Because prompt integration is a critical business requirement, we currently need to use Visualize Mode, but that leaves the "Drill to Attribute/Hierarchy..." menu available to end users.
Has anyone found a supported way to suppress or disable the "Drill to Attribute/Hierarchy..." context menu for an embedded DV workbook while continuing to use Visualize Mode and preserving Answers dashboard prompt integration?
Alternatively, can Oracle confirm whether this is a current product limitation of embedded DV content?
Any guidance or workaround would be greatly appreciated.
