Description: Many users have created and rely on multiple saved custom states within a DV workbook. When a new version of the workbook is created, even when it uses the same subject area, filters, and prompts, users must manually recreate all of their saved states.
It would be beneficial to allow workbook authors or administrators to migrate/copy custom states from one workbook to another where the underlying filters and prompts are compatible.
Benefits:
- Simplifies workbook upgrades and migrations.
- Reduces user effort and support requests.
- Encourages adoption of workbook personalisation features.
- Helps organisations deploy new workbook versions without disrupting existing user preferences.
Example:
A workbook is enhanced and published as a new version. Users should be able to reuse their previously saved custom states rather than recreating each filter combination manually.
