We are working with Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) 2026 and need to implement Vector Map visualization using geospatial polygon data.
Our requirement is to display geographic data at multiple levels, such as:
- Country
- State/Province
- City
- ZIP/Postal Code
For example, for the USA we are considering ZCTA (ZIP Code Tabulation Areas) data. For other countries, we need the equivalent postal-code boundary/polygon data.
I am using Oracle Database 23ai and have implemented ORDS for U.S. ZIP Code data based on the approach provided in the document. We now have a requirement to implement the same solution for all countries, including their respective postal/ZIP code geospatial data.
Could you please provide guidance on:
- How to obtain the global postal/ZIP code geospatial data for all countries.
- The recommended data format and structure.
- The steps to load the data into Oracle Database 23ai.
We are looking for a solution similar to the existing U.S. ZIP Code implementation, but covering all countries.
We would like to understand the recommended approach for populating and using this data in OAS 2026.
