Problem Statement
A gap exists in FDI where employees may be temporarily excluded from headcount reporting when a manager is terminated and direct reports are not reassigned before the daily FDI refresh. This creates a temporary break in the manager hierarchy and impacts the accuracy of intraday workforce reporting.
Current Limitation
Oracle Fusion processes such as "Refresh Manager Hierarchy", "Run Reassign Pending Approvals for Terminations", and "Correct Invalid Supervisor Assignments" run every 4 hours and update hierarchy data in Fusion. However, the corresponding FDI data is refreshed only through the daily pipeline, causing hierarchy corrections to be delayed in reporting by up to 24 hours.
Requested Enhancement
Dell's instance uses "FDRV1". For customers using FDRV1 enable Frequent Data Refresh support for manager hierarchy-related tables and their dependencies so hierarchy changes are reflected throughout the day.
Specifically, request Oracle to:
- Identify hierarchy-related and dependent FDI tables that can be included in FDR.
- Align refresh frequency with Fusion's 4-hour hierarchy refresh cadence.
- Document any dependencies, limitations, or performance considerations.
Business Value
- Accurate intraday headcount and organizational reporting.
- Faster visibility of manager reassignments and hierarchy corrections.
- Better alignment between Fusion HCM and FDI reporting.
- Reduced reporting discrepancies caused by temporary hierarchy breaks.
Reference
Per Oracle SR 4-0003783080, manager hierarchy refresh objects are currently not eligible for FDR, and Oracle advised that support for this
capability should be submitted through an Enhancement Idea Request.
