Support Application Role-Based Assignment for Security Contexts and Elimination Rules

Current limitation

Security Contexts and Elimination Rules are currently assigned directly to users.

Requested enhancement

Allow Security Contexts and Elimination Rules to be assigned to Application Roles. Security would continue to be evaluated at the user level, while administration could be managed through role membership.

Business value

Simplify security administration.
Reduce maintenance effort.
Improve alignment with enterprise identity and access management practices.
Facilitate onboarding and organizational changes.

@Jacopo Giacco upvoted, it was indeed role based in the past if I remember correctly and having it at user level is extra work and would definitely save time if redesigned to work with roles. It may need a wider security design change as currently roles are assigned to user via groups only and not directly.
