Hi Experts,
We are using Oracle BI Publisher Email Bursting to distribute reports via email. Currently, one of our bursting outputs generates a report of approximately 20 MB, and we are trying to understand whether there are any size limitations that could impact email delivery.
Scenario:
- Report Delivery Method: Email Bursting
- Output Format: PDF/Excel
- Report Output Size: ~20 MB
- Environment: Oracle Fusion BI Publisher
Questions:
- Is there a documented file size limit for attachments sent through BI Publisher Email Bursting?
- Can a 20 MB report be delivered successfully via email, or are there limitations imposed by BI Publisher, SMTP configuration, or the recipient's mail server?
- If the attachment exceeds the supported size, how does BI Publisher handle it? Does the bursting process fail, or is the email sent without the attachment?
- Are there any recommended approaches for handling large bursting outputs, such as splitting the report, zipping the file, or using alternative delivery channels (FTP, UCM, etc.)?
Has anyone encountered a similar situation with report outputs around 20 MB? Any guidance, documentation references, or best practices would be appreciated.
Thank you.
