Can IIS 8 be used as a webserver with weblogic 10.3.6?

Hi All,

We are going to install OBIEE 11.1.1.7 on windows 2012 (software only then configure)

Weblogic will be 10.3.6

windows 2012 we will get IIS 8

Please let us know if we can use IIS 8 as proxy and setup windows authentication using IIS8

As per the Excel it is mentioned as below

11.1.1.7.0+

Microsoft Internet Information Server

"6.0+    10.3.5.0.0

                                                                                 7.0x    10.3.6.0.0

Could you please tell me Does 7.0x means 7.0 above versions OR 7.5 versions

Windows 2012 is compatible for OBIEE 11.1.1.7 and wind 2012 comes with IIS 8

does it means we can go ahead and use IIS8 as proxy and setup windows authentication

I think , 7.0 x means , it supports IIS 7.0 and IIS 7.5 not IIS 8. if possible uninstall IIS8  and  install IIS 7.5 and proceed.

As per Certification docs

A plus sign after the fourth digit in the version number indicates that this and all higher versions are certified.

For example, 1.6.0_(05+) means that 1.6.0_05 and any higher 1.6.0_xx versions are certified.

I will close this thread after some time.

But for now i want to know if anybody used IIS 8 + Weblogic 10.3.6 if yes any issues noticed.

I will go with IIS8...... if we notice any issues we will go for IIS 7.
