Why people insist on running professional software on rubbish desktop operating systems is beyond me :-)

  • Did you really googled? Because just writing few words I got this as first result: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12839_01/apirefs.1111/e14397/LogMgmt.html#BEA-170011

You must check in the various logs for other pieces of information, the warning you are seeing isn't the cause but just a consequence of your real issue.

And I would join Christian: running OBIEE on Windows 7 isn't the best advised way (yes, supported for development but definitely not the best choice).

    Not for 12c anymore

  • I agree but in this case the OP posted "Weblogic Server : 11gR1", so definitely not a 12c

    Hi @Gianni Ceresa @Christian Berg

Many thanks for your valuable replies. Finally I got resolved the issue which i was asked.

Instead of giving me the accurate rectifications, you have given me the suggestions. It's highly appreciated.

As of now i'm using windows 7 for my personal practice purpose in my laptop. Anyway i have heard that Windows 8 & 10 are not supported by Oracle BI services. Even we have it hardly, should run on compatibility mode for all the services. Please correct me if i heard mistaken

So Please suggest me for the best way (OS for the practising of BI).

    Regards,

    Pavan kumar

    1.) Linux

    2.) SampleApp OBIEE Samples

3.) It's free. As in "free beer"

4.) There is a reason Oracle provides these preconfigured Virtual Machines

Thanks @Christian Berg for providing me the better solution.Really I don't know this can do with these preconfigured Virtual Machines.Great.

But I don't have an idea to configure these VM's in my local. If you please suggest me the portal, it's highly appreciated.

You just download and install VirtualBox: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

Then you download the SampleApp virtual image form the link I posted above, unzip it and then deploy it using VirtualBox.

They have all how-to's on their youtube channel as well: https://www.youtube.com/user/OracleBITechDemos/videos

So you can maybe contribute to this community forum by posting how you solved the issue so that others with the same problem will find your contribution and maybe solve their issue as well. (It's all about sharing)
