Weblogic server Enterprise
Hey Legends
Does OBIEE 11g make use of an enterprise version of Weblogic. I think so, with the name having enterprise edition but how can I verify this?

Hi,
Isn't it like OBIEE mainly a licensing thing?
And I guess I remember you can't do everything you want on the weblogic coming from OBIEE outside of OBIEE things ....

Hi Emmanuel,
If you look at the data sheet you'll see Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition noted there: http://www.oracle.com/us/products/middleware/application-server/oracle-weblogic-server-ds-1391360.pdf
If you go to the download page on OTN and check which installers are available...
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/downloads/index.html
Free Oracle WebLogic Server 12c (12.2.1) Installers for Development
... you will see that there is no differentiation between Editions being made.
Also if you go the the explicit page of the Standrad Edition: https://www.oracle.com/middleware/weblogic/standard-edition.html
...and then to downloads it will again lead you here: Oracle Fusion Middleware Software Downloads
Long story short: Its about what you have licensed. Not the binaries you have installed. Just like OBIEE vs OBIA vs OBISE1 etc
Edit: today Gianni plays the two-liner responses while I type things out :-D
