Hello everybody,

When I login obiee 11g, my folders does not seen on the catalog :S A few weeks ago, there was no such problem. When I ask the other users, some of them see my folders option, some of them does not! How can I correct this issue? Where can be the cause of this problem?

Can you help me please?

Regards,

Dilek

Was there any changes made to the environment recently ? And these kind of problems could be resolved using a GUID refresh.

Edit: Always check logs for any errors.

    Hi Dileraco,

    are you the Administrator?

if yes then you can change your Catalog View to "Admin View" from "User View" then under "Users" folder you should be able view "My Folder" but trying to access might give you "No Access" error as you are currently not able to view the same in "User View", but you would be able to set permission on same and take ownership of the folder, but that would not completly resolve your issue, as stated by Sherry George generally such issue occurs due to GUID's corruption hence as suggested check you logs and if GUID corruption related issues are reported then perform GUID Refresh.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Christian,

Physically there on the disk means when I check catalog manager I see the user folder? That is:

I will also add this document from Oracle support about doing catalog cleanup and GUID refresh on a periodic basis to prevent inconsistencies.

Could you please check your sawlog(n).log — The Presentation Services log file that represents the latest part of diagnostic log output

Give a search with your issue facing user and check if you find WARNING/ERROR/NOTIFICATION as below

GUID xxxxxxx not found in backend marking as unknown, GUID mismatch etc..

    Hello again,

I tried guid refresh and nothing changed at all. Still, users can not see My Folders option under catalog. I think this is a security issue. So, I try to get catalog manager offline mode, but there is no offline option; is this normal?

How can I connect offline mode?
